The weather forecast was calling for a tornado and the girl prayed it would come. Her dad was passed out drunk on the couch. She stayed safe in the cellar hoping that the storm would destroy that house filled with bad memories and take her father with it. She wanted him to be blown away so that he could never hurt her again.

This song is about the funeral of a man that is attended by two women – his wife and his mistress. They both found out that he was cheating. I think the reason he is dead is because the two women worked together and killed him. They didn’t want him to get away with what he did.

This is a favorite song of mine! I think this song is talking about not getting stuck in a rut in your spiritual life - doing the same things day in and day out. No one wants to get to the end of life and feel like they didn’t give their all to serve God and make a difference in this world.
