For me, I had to see my best friend struggle with an addiction that robbed her of her whole being and soul. Failed rehab followed another and another. She was/is my other half.. Literally , my twin. We have lived our whole lives together . Even work together . For 30+ years. I will do anything to bring her back . Her self esteem, her confidence , once her strengths , are nil. I know she needs me. As I need her. I know she's wasted and given up. But I will rise up and prove to her she is beautiful , smart, and needed in this world. I am going to guide her , and take her by the elbow , and we will rise up and conquer the demon that stole her away from us.
