Words Sung
Lyrics
I’m the sum total of everything that’s ever happened to me
Fantastically, dramatically you can’t cut the life out of me
A product of my environment with figments of my imagination
In hands outstretched - in step
Each move forward awkwardly putting my foot carefully in each foot print
This delicate balance like a dance of silence
A well planned statement with every stretch
Hand crafted carefully with every press
These dreams create a mess, still these seeds obsess
An A grade especially when there is no test
I look up and smile because I tried my best
Hear my words sung and not said
Break me into pieces when I’m dead
But as long as I’m breathing don’t stop me from dreaming
Or life ends
I’m only one person, so I can only carry about enough love that fits in a Jansport
I am a man composed of thought
I am an object with many sides and rough edges
Projecting a voice of varied size and taking tough pledges
Looking in the mirror and conduction a personal interview because sometimes people ask the wrong questions
Life is too short for all of these inspectors
So I quarantine to avoid infection
Privacy is a weapon
Sometimes seeing the reflection of a recluse is a blessing
Hear my words sung and not said
Break me into pieces when I’m dead
But as long as I’m breathing don’t stop me from dreaming
Or life ends
