I think it's about two people in a relationship, who are at first all in love, but then they realise that it was just the first intense feelings of a relationship. The words 'We argue we don't fight' sounds like on of them is trying to convince themselves that they don't have full on fights, just small couple arguments. I'm not entirely sure, but it seems likely that it's about a couple who's love has gone stale.
Metal & Dust
Lyrics
And so, you built, a life, on trust
Though, it starts, with love and lust
And when, your house, begins, to rust
Oh it's just, metal and dust
We argue, we don't fight
We argue, we don't fight
And all, foundation, that, we made
Built, to last, they disintegrate
And when, your house, begins to rust
Oh it's just, metal and dust
We argue, we don't fight
Stay awake 'til the middle of the night
Stay awake 'til the middle of the night
We argue, we don't fight
Stay awake 'til the middle of the night
Stay awake 'til the middle of the night (We don't argue)
We argue, we don't fight
Stay awake 'til the middle of the night
Stay awake 'til the middle of the night (We don't argue)
We argue, we don't fight
Stay awake 'til the middle of the night
Stay awake 'til the middle of the night
We don't argue
We don't argue
We don't argue
