The Life I Want
Lyrics
I’m sitting here in class I need a plan but will I pass
Is this the life I really want I’d rather make it with my raps
I’d rather pull off in a jag an never have to chase a bag
Because my bank account is over 7 os imagine that
Imagine days I used to laugh while I was young an with my dad
Or even with my mom but would that be too much to ask
From a youngin' I would pray to have a family like my friends
Instead my dad was in his ways my mom I’d never see again
I used to blame them for my life and the road that I began
But as I get older I realize this who I am
I try to forget forgivg an even mend
But somehow in the end I’m the one who’s wrong again
That’s why I’m better off alone I don’t need no friends
I only need a paper an a pen with time to spend
I’m thankful every day I am but now there’s more lives in my hand
I never had a job but still the money coming in
Every day my life a sin but some don’t see it as it is
Society has glorified this life when does it end
Everyone thinks it’s a game an I fell victim to its plan
Everyone thinks it’s a game until you shooting at your friends
You don’t know what it is like to really have to flip a bag
Because your family is depending on you to be the man
If I could take it all back I would but I just can’t
I have to live with who I am I hope you learn from what I’m saying
I’m sitting here in class I need a plan but will I pass
Is this the life I really want I’d rather make it with my raps
I’d rather pull off in a jag an never have to chase a bag
Because my bank account is over 7 os imagine that
Imagine days I used to laugh while I was young an with my dad
Or even with my mom but would that be to much to ask
From a younger I would pray to have a family like my friends
Instead my dad was in his ways my mom I’d never see again
My mom I’d never see again she left when I was just seven
Or maybe five or six I can’t remember I was just a kid
I got some brothers in this zip that I don’t see this family split
My dad was fighting his own battles almost lost his life to it
I used to hate but I forgive for all the times I needed them
And they weren’t there all on my own I learned a lot from it
I was hungry no food in the kitchen had to go an get it
I sold my first bag in middle school an kept it moving since
We all go through our own problems no ones worse than the next
It’s what you do with your experience I promise we all blessed
To wake up every day don’t stress you’ll get it if you work for it
I’m never gonna give up on my dreams because I seen the vision
I’m sitting here in class I need a plan but will I pass
Is this the life I really want I’d rather make it with my raps
I’d rather pull off in a jag an never have to chase a bag
