The song "Electric Love" is personally one of my favorites. it's very catchy and enjoyable. I can listen to it all of the time, but of course I spread it out. Lets begin the interpretation! The first part of the song is, "Candy, she's sweet like candy in my veins. Baby, I'm dying for another taste." This is saying that the writer has found the girl that he loves and that she is sweet and that he wants to see her again and again. The next part of the song would be the hook. The hook is, "And every night my mind is running around her, thunders getting louder and louder. Baby you're like lightning in a bottle, I can't let you go not that I got it"
That part is saying that he thinks of her every night, more and more. He is also saying she she is a rare find, and can not let her go now that he has her to love. The next part of the song is the chorus, or the part of the song that repeats. The chorus is, "All I need is to be struck by your electric love. Baby, you're electric love, electric love." This part is saying that he needs her to love him back, because she is in his fantasies and he loves her completely. In his eyes, she is electric love. Next, the singer says, "Drowning, you make my heart beat like the rain. Surround me, hold me deep beneath your weight." This is him saying that he gets really nervous around her, to the point where he feels as if he were drowning. He also feels as if he needs her to keep him grounded. Then, the hook and chorus repeats, so it has the same meaning. He says "Rushing through me, I feel your energy rushing through me" Meaning that he feels very energetic and filled with the positive energy that she has. I hope this helps some of you!
