The writer has a fanciful way of describing his problems with women in 3 successive or separate relationships, in an otherwise indecipherable detail, psychedelically? 3 = a "hat trick" in hockey. Per the alternating lead vocals, it might have been written by all 3 of them. Too bad: this is an AWESOME song/performance, the lyrics are close to nonsense to the uninitiated. It's among dozens of their songs that never made it onto my radio back in the day (I hadn't deemed them LP-purchase-worthy, based only on a selection of less than a half dozen tunes I was familiar with from radio). This is one GREAT band! Anyone know any more about it?
