This song is basically Shawn Mendez telling the girl that she’s with the wrong guy and that he’s the guy for her. The girl Is stuck in a very unhealthy relationship and Shawn mendes is trying to tell her that’s hes willing to go far and beyond for her and that she deserves way better than the guy she’s with right now. All he’s asking for is a chance to prove he’s the right guy and treat he really better

I personally feel that this song isn’t about the initial excitement and rush you feel when you just start dating somebody or just talking to them. The butterflies you get in your tummy and the urge of always wanting to be with this person and adore them basically. It talks about he isn’t willingly to do anything for this girl he fancies. The song I sent happy, fun and exciting. And also very complicated too considering the fact that the girl may or may not love him.

I feel the song “before you go” is about the artist sharing his thought so about someone he lost through an illness or sucide. The artist I saw expressing how’s angry he felt towards the person for going and then how angry he feels for not doin anything to stop it. The song in particular Is a really sad song filled with regret and pain. It also explains the after math effect that death has on people.
