Cut The Cord?
To me it means we all go thrpugh life with people and others grabbing on to us trying to pull us down even when we leave and get rid of them it feels like there still stuck to us so we have to sever the tie / cut the chord and be free from such things
Although the chorus included the word "freedom" on repeat the verses are quite aggressive, leading me to believe that is a somewhat unorthodox not pacifist way of declaring your passion and longing for peace.
The song is brutally honest, its about the fact that being dependent on other things that hold you back is like selfharm/suicide (as in the line "Switchblad on the edge of your wrist") and that you need to break away from those bonds to truely live freely as yourself (as stated in the lines "Don't be a casualty, Cut the Cord")
