We are all put on this earth for a short period of time and for a special purpose. People will be watching our successes and failures. One should do whatever it is one does to the best of their abilities and not let the affairs of the world distract or keep them from their calling because time passes far too quickly. We must indeed realize there are “trade-offs” to be made in life, but many times the cost of our decisions will only be realized in brief retrospection. In the end, one will please some people and not others. There will be high points and there will be regrets. One will win some and lose some. One can’t have it all.
