In the end, he realizes how tiring it is to be always worried about what's coming next, but he had spend all his life without actually living the moment and now is too late, because he's already underground

I think the song speaks about how yeah there's good things in life but if everyday is a struggle and every moment of the day feels less and less real, almost like everything is just meaningless. You might just get tired of it all even things that used to make you happy just don't mean anything anymore. He's talking to God, God Is his friend and he's asking him how long till he can just relax and rest, when will it be over. "God, I'm tired can I take a break?" He just wants release from all the bullshit in life.
