The Beginning
Lyrics
In the beginning I was just a little boy with no prejudice
The emphasis gave breath to my new toys
I was positive while looking the world
I was a novice that lives everyday beyond words and ideologies
The artifice of premises was built when I grew old
When I discovered that the world is not the one told by the anthologies
A world led by economists and technologies
I felt like I was wasting my time behind poetry
Since I was a little man I tried to push myself
Beyond body, beyond thoughts
Beyond the mind that leads my hands
Beyond the curtain of the real, I had a deal
I bought blue water from the sea, ended up it was clear
Then I’ve seen all my peers, they thought I freaked out
I would let them hear where the solution should be found
The answer is here, is here on this ground
Beyond the question: “boy, where are you now?”
It’s the beginning not the end
Halfway I’ve discovered many things
That we can talk for hours and don’t really learn anything
Looking the world I used to cringe
Now I moved from the playground to the boxing ring
I got a lot of fears but an ace in the hole
Never thought I’d be judged for the color of my soul
A soul full of positivity that has been stolen
My sole creativity is what I got to show
Since I was a little man I tried to push my goals
Beyond the highest peak I had found on this road
Beyond the whole control, beyond all these walls
Staying woke, living without doing what I was told
Living like a new born, enjoying the sun
Its rise, its dawn
Living that moment like a child who starts to draw
As wise as a king but as strong as a pawn
No matter who wins, who falls
It’s the beginning not the end
