Romano notes that he knows that there is rebirth despite the emptiness and darkness - that it waits to pour out because we are all vessels of the source - waiting to burst free #danielromano
Empty Husk
Lyrics
So the mirror poets lap
From the serpent's ruptured wrath
They finger at the monarch
With the reproduction blush
Oh but I can hardly see them
With their saintly diadem
I implore my preservation
Deep inside the empty husk
And I am not afraid no Miram, I am not afraid
Though the molecules of time
Have cast the sunshine to the shade
And I am not afraid no Miram, I am not afraid
There'll be truth blooms in the willows
In the morning
So the mirror poets lap
From the serpent's ruptured wrath
They finger at the monarch
With the reproduction blush
Oh but I can hardly see them
With their saintly diadem
I implore my preservation
Deep within the empty husk
I won't be denied oh Miram, I won't be denied
Bending limbs of reaching trims
Allow us to survive
I won't be denied oh Miram, I won't be denied
There's enchantment in the questions
Without warning
Miram I'm a current
Miram I'm a current now
Miram I'm a current
Miram I'm a current now
In the stream of human conscience
Where all melody's profound
But I want
No more darkness
No more
No more darkness
No more
No more darkness
No more
No more darkness, yeah
I am not afraid no Miram, I am not afraid
Though the molecules of time
Have cast the sunshine to the shade
I am not afraid no Miram, I am not afraid
There'll be truth blooms in the willows
In the morning

What is the Meaning of Empty Husk
?
Romano equates the poetry that draws upon the idea of mankind’s fall, as described in western religions, with darkness that serves to imprison the human spirit in an empty shell. There is a rebellion going on here, however. Miram, the sister of Moses, whose name literallly translates to “rebellion” is invoked and he pleads and promises to “not be denied” by this darkness. There is an irony at work here though, as Romano’s plaintiff in the song, in his invocation of Miran, is seemingly bound to the same myths which the “mirror poets relied upon to “cast the sunshine into shade” and to create the empty husk (to render the monarch a reproduction - a reference to the iconography of the idea of Jesus perhaps, and the saintly diadem, worthless trappings of the church and the living thing of the word reduced to liturgy and meaningless symbol ).
