Saddened by the hardships of the common world
How I wish to rise up and travel ways far-off
My own strength is feeble, there is no support
I cry with the infinite toil of human life
Thinking of my dear old friends, people of my past
I heave a heavy sigh and brush the tears away
Pacing with restlessness, I yearn to be free
Confused and close to madness, I long for the eternal
Then suddenly my spirit, off, never to return
My body, like a withered tree, left behind
Thus I vanish from the world, forgetting to come back
Going beyond stillness, I reach the great clarity
As I slowly fade off in to the distance
There is no longer a voice from which to speak
All vastly empty and tranquil, there is serenity
Quietly in non-action, spontaneous truth is found
