Who is Sum 41?
Sum 41 is a five-piece Canadian pop-punk band. The band's sole original member is vocalist and guitarist Deryck Whibley. The group's debut album All Killer No Filler (2001) went triple Platinum in Canada and Platinum in the US, and all five of their studio albums have entered the Canadian top 10. Their debut featured hit single Fat Lip, while their second album Does This Look Infected? (2002) featured successful singles The Hell Song and Still Waiting.
The group's first two albums were predominantly pop-punk, but their third album Chuck (2004) moved in a heavier direction and incorporated a greater range of styles. Their fourth album Underclass Hero (2007) saw the band return to their pop-punk roots. Sum 41's fifth LP Screaming Bloody Murder (2011) marked a turn again to a heavier style of playing.
