Who is Slipknot?
Shawn Crahan and Paul Gray formed Slipknot in Des Moines, Iowa in 1995. Following some early membership changes, the group stuck with the same nine-member lineup for more than a decade. Slipknot is know for an aggressive, energetic style of music that carries over into lively performances. They gained fame with the 1999 release of their eponymous debut album. Two years later, the album Iowa earned them even more fans.The group has had at least two hiatuses but still put out five studio albums. The latest was 2014’s .5: The Gray Chapter.
