Who is Paradise Lost?
Paradise Lost is a band considered to be among the pioneers of the doom metal music genre. The group came together in Halifax, England in 1998. Current members are Nick Holmes, Gregor Mackintosh, Aaron Aedy, Steve Edmondson and Adrian Erlandsson. Paradise Lost released their first album, Lost Paradise, in 1990, followed a year later by Gothic. They’ve gone on to put out 14 studio albums. The most recent, The Plague Within, was released in 2015. The band’s longevity has helped them become an influencer of other performers such as the Swedish heavy metal group Katatonia.
