Who is Miranda Lambert?
A product of the "American Idol" era, Miranda Lambert found fame via the TV show "Nashville Star," which is the country music version of the weekly singing competition format. Born in Texas in 1983, the singer did not even win the show, coming in second place, but has such a stunning voice and model good looks that she didn't need to take the big prize. Her first album, released in 2005, proved that she deserved her fame as she wrote the pieces as well as performed them. Her second album was even bigger and she has since reached the highest height possible in terms of critical and commercial success in the industry.
