Who is Lil Yachty?
Miles Parks McCollum, popularly known as Lil Yachty, is an American rapper and singer who was born on August 23, 1997. Yachty first rose to prominence in 2015, when his EP Summer Songs debuted with singles "One Night" and "Minnesota." In March 2016, Yachty dropped his debut mixtape Lil Boat. In June of the same year, Yachty signed a joint venture recording contract with Motown, Capitol Records, and Quality Control Music.
Yachty has released four studio albums, the first of which is Teenage Emotions in 2017. In 2018, he released his second and third studio albums, Lil Boat 2 and Nuthin' 2 Prove. Yachty's most recent project, Lil Boat 3, came out in 2020. All of his studio albums have reached the top 20 of the Billboard 200. In addition, his collaboration on "Broccoli" placed him for nomination at the Grammy Awards.
