Who is Eric Clapton?
Eric Clapton is an English singer-songwriter and guitarist. He was born on March 30, 1945 in Ripley, Surrey, England. He is considered one of the most influential guitarists ever to pick up the instrument and the only person to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three times. One time was for his solo work and the other two were with his membership in the groups Cream and the Yardbirds. Clapton has won 18 Grammy Awards and Brit Award for contributions to music. His latest studio album, The Breeze: An Appreciation of JJ (2014), was dedicated to JJ Cole, another influential guitarist and songwriter who died in 2013.
