Who is Avenged Sevenfold?
The American heavy band Avenged Sevenfold are sometimes abbreviated as A7X. They hail from Huntington Beach, California and formed in 1999. The current line up consists of lead vocalist M. Shadows, lead guitarist and backing vocalist Synyster Gates, rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist Zacky Vengeance, bass guitarist Johnny Christ and drummer Brooks Wackerman. They enjoyed mainstream success before the untimely death of drummer, James "The Rev" Sullivan, in 2009. They continue to explore new sounds and hard rock style. They have sold over 8 million albums to date.
