Who is Vance Joy?
Vance Joy is the professional name of the Australian singer and songwriter James Gabriel Keogh, who was born on December 1, 1987 in Melbourne, Australia. In March 2013, Joy released his debut EP God Loves You When You're Dancing. It included the single "Riptide." His debut studio release Dream Your Life Away came out in September 2014. The following year, Joy was nominated for seven ARIA Music Awards and won one for Best Male Artist. Joy has said in interviews that he got his start in music by playing covers of bands like Green Day.
