Who is The Stranglers?
The Stranglers are a puck rock band that came together in Guilford, Surrey, England around 1974 and is still active today, placing it among the longest-lasting and still successful bands to come out of the UK punk scene in the 1970s. The Stranglers have had 23 singles in the UK Top 40 chart and 17 albums on the UK Top 40 albums chart. In total, the band has sold more than 1.5 million albums and 600,000 singles. Their most recent studio album was 2012's Giants. The band's members are Jean-Jacques Burnel, Dave Greenfield, Baz Warne and Jim MacAulay.
