Who is Slayer?
The American thrash metal band Slayer came together in 1981 in Huntington Park, California. The band has released 12 studio albums since 1983, plus two live albums, a cover album and other releases. Their popularity skyrocketed with their 1986 album Reign of Blood. Four Slayer albums have reached gold status. The group has been nominated for a Grammy Award five times. Its first win came in 2007 and another came in 2008. Both awards for singles from the 2006 album Christ Illusion. Slayers 12th studio album, Repentless, was released in September 2015.
