Who is Mia X?
Rapper Mia X was born Mia Young in New Orleans in1970. Known as the first female emcee to nab a recording contract, she is a frequent collaborator with other rappers, and has been two albums that were certified as gold. Her career began in New Orleans when she joined a local rap group, and by 1992 she had dropped her first single. A year later would see the release of her first album. She then got signed to the No Limit Records label working independently as well as appearing on other rapper's recordings. Emerging from a hiatus in 2014, she has since released two singles.
