Who is MGMT?
Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden formed the rock group MGMT in 2002 while attending Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. The group's debut album, Oracular Spectacular, has sold more than 1 million copies worldwide since it was released digitally in October 2007. Their second album, Congratulations (2010), diverted from MGMT's synthpop style and went for a more guitar-driven sound. They then released the album MGMT in 2013 and are working on a fourth major label album release. The group has been nominated for three Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist in 2010. They've won one, for a remix of "Electric Feel," in 2009.
