Who is Evanescence?
Evanescence formed in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States when singer, pianist and songwriter Amy Lee met lead guitarist and songwriter Ben Moody at a youth camp in Little Rock in 1994. They formed a band and signed up with Wind-up Records to release their first full-length album, Fallen, in 2003. This sold more than 15 million copies worldwide and gained them two Grammy Awards after a string of EPs and demos from the early years. Most fans will instantly know the tracks "My Immortal" and "Understanding" both written by Moody who quit the band in 2003.
